M.S. in Aerospace Engineering June 2013
University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA)
GPA – 3.86

I graduated from UCLA in June 2013 with an M.S. in aerospace engineering. I focused my studies on fluid mechanics, taking classes in potential flow theory, compressible flows, heat transfer theory, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), rocket propulsion, and biofluid dynamics. I also took classes in aerospace structures and dynamics. As part of my CFD course I developed code for modeling two-dimensional Euler flow over an arbitrary airfoil using a self-made C-grid generation routine. I also wrote review papers on the current state of research in the fields of solid rocket motors and the fluid dynamics of the human tear film.

B.A. in Physics May 2012
Reed College
GPA – 3.47

I graduated from Reed College in May 2012 with a B.A. in physics. I spent five years at Reed, including a semester abroad in Florence, Italy studying architecture. During my final year I conducted research into turbulence in a Kolmogorov shear layer for my undergraduate thesis project.
